Also, what are the ranks? I see mods and admins have 5 blocks, what about anything below that and their qualifications?

The 5 blocks are interchangable, they mean nothing. People like Daedulas have a postcount based rank going from Newbie to Senior. With every progressed rank they gain a block. It's a nice way to see which member is most active i guess.
