The 5 blocks are interchangable, they mean nothing. People like Daedulas have a postcount based rank going from Newbie to Senior. With every progressed rank they gain a block. It's a nice way to see which member is most active i guess.

I'm just guessing it's based on your post count. Unless knorre modified the usergroups.

Also, afaik, the ranks don't bear any other significant meaning than elongating one's e-peen.
